Spring is a time where temperatures are getting warmer, flowers are blooming and all the yummy greens and berries are in season. 

I love looking at what's in season as a way to gauge how I should adjust my eating habits. During spring --among all the other fruits and foods in season-- there's berries! Traditionally, winter is a colder time and if you were eating the foods in season, the foods were more warming to the body and considered "heavier." Winter is considered a time where people are usually indoor (possibly gaining weight?) But spring is traditionally time a time where we get back out, we move, and if we eat the foods in season --they naturally aid the detoxification process. 

Berries are a perfect example of this food; and nature's best source of antioxidants. Antioxidants are key in neutralizing all the junk in our body whether from food or from the environment. This is important because it helps slow down the aging process (both what you can see and what you can't!).

By adopting a "season-friendly" diet you can encourage gentle and natural weight loss to get you ready for the summer --and to top it off; more energy and glowy skin! Who doesn't want that?!

Eat them alone, put them in smoothies, top your desserts or whatever ..but just eat them :D
